Turn On the Power – How to Use Applied Kinesiology to Improve Athletic Performance
by Derek Williams, M.Ac., L.Ac., CSCS
Written originally for athletic trainers, Turn On the Power is a wonderful resource for everyone interested in performance and athletics. It begins with a discussion of acupuncture, an introduction to Applied Kinesiology, how to muscle test, and corrective techniques to restore balance to the muscle/meridian/organ systems. Next are 51 different muscle tests grouped by meridian. It then goes into more advanced muscle testing with topics such as food allergies/sensitivities, nutritional deficiencies and overages, time perception, and sleep mode. Acupressure protocols are given for such common ailments as PMS and insomnia. EFT is also taught to help overcome any mental/emotional blocks which may be hindering performance or straining relationships with teammates and coaches.
What makes this book special is in the muscle testing section, each muscle has detailed descriptions of health indications, athletic performance indications, and performance notes.
